THE CHALLENGE

What needed solving?

AYIK Band's products are engineered to perform without compromise in the harshest environments: mining, cement, fertilizer, and chemical plants. But the value of these products only becomes visible exactly where they live — in the dust of an underground mine, under constant load, inside real operations. Showing that on a trade show floor or in a customer meeting is nearly impossible.

On top of that, the products are physically large. Bringing the entire product range together for transport means high cost and heavy logistics, and even when the products are on site, the function of a conveyor belt and the value it adds in operation cannot be conveyed by a static stand. AYIK Band's need was clear: a single experience that lets customers examine the full product range in detail and, at the same time, communicates each product's real operational value live.

APPROACH

How we solved it.

Instead of explaining the products, we decided to take customers to where the products actually work. The experience was shaped around a two-module structure:

Two modules, two purposes

We split the experience into an AR/VR Module and a Mine Experience. One showcases the product; the other shows it at work.

The entire range in a single experience

Inside the AR/VR Module, the user examines every conveyor belt product and accessory down to the finest detail and sees their functions 1:1 — no physical transport required.

The real operational environment

In the Mine Experience, the user steps directly into an underground mine and experiences the products' operational value live, in the demanding context they were built for.

Independent of logistics

The full product range was digitised; the cost and logistical burden of moving heavy, large products from show to show disappeared.

THE SOLUTION

For AYIK Band we built a standalone VR experience that, instead of reading the products off a catalogue, puts them in front of the user while they are working. The experience runs on two modules. The AR/VR Module brings AYIK Band's entire conveyor belt range and accessory products together in one digital environment; users rotate every product 360°, zoom in, and explore its functions in fine detail. Products that are too large and heavy to physically transport are right at hand here, with no logistical constraints.

The second module, the Mine Experience, drops the user directly into the environment these products belong to: the underground mine. The user sees with their own eyes, in real context, how the conveyor belt systems perform in actual operating conditions, how they withstand the loads they were built for, and the value they bring to the operation. Durability stops being a line on a datasheet and becomes a reality you watch unfold.

This approach turns a product range that is hard to explain and expensive to transport into an experience that is felt and remembered. Built as a standalone Meta Quest 3 application, it is ready for trade shows, product launches, and customer meetings, carrying AYIK Band's entire portfolio together with the harsh environment it belongs to inside a single digital asset.
